Solution

Stamping Press Automation

High-speed, high-precision handling for stamping lines and press-to-press transfer.

Overview

In stamping, robots feed blanks into presses, transfer parts between presses and stack finished panels. They replace risky manual feeding and keep the press running at a steady rhythm.

We design robotic press-line automation including de-stackers, magnetic or vacuum tooling, conveyors and safety interlocks with the press.

How It Works

  • Blanks are de-stacked and checked for double sheets
  • Robots load the press synchronously with the stroke
  • Parts pass from press to press with controlled orientation
  • Finished parts are stacked or sent by conveyor

What's Included in the System

  • High-speed handling robots
  • Vacuum or magnetic tooling
  • Double-blank detector and centring table
  • Conveyors and stacking stations
  • Press interface and interlocks

Benefits

  • Removes hand feeding from dangerous zones
  • Stable stroke rate
  • Reduced part damage
  • Faster changeover with stored programs

Frequently Asked Questions

How does a robot synchronise with the press?

Through signals from the press control, and optionally motion-tracking on the crank angle, so the robot enters and leaves the die area safely.

Can we automate an older press?

Usually yes, with appropriate interlock signals and guarding.
