Overview

In stamping, robots feed blanks into presses, transfer parts between presses and stack finished panels. They replace risky manual feeding and keep the press running at a steady rhythm.

We design robotic press-line automation including de-stackers, magnetic or vacuum tooling, conveyors and safety interlocks with the press.

  • Laser welding concentrates energy in a very small spot, giving narrow welds with little heat input and less distortion
  • It needs tighter joint fit-up than arc welding, so fixtures and part accuracy matter more
  • A laser cell is enclosed to Class 1 so operators can work safely around it
  • On press lines, robots are timed to the press stroke and remove people from the die area
