Overview
Laser welding concentrates energy into a small spot, producing narrow welds with minimal heat-affected zone. It is ideal for thin sheet, stainless steel, battery components and parts where distortion must be minimised.
Zhiyan integrates fibre-laser sources, welding heads and safety enclosures with the robot and the workpiece fixtures.
How It Works
- A fibre or other laser source delivers power through an optical fibre to the welding head
- The robot moves the head along the seam or a scanner performs remote welding
- Vision or seam tracking guides the beam to the joint
- A Class 1 laser enclosure with interlocks protects operators
